PassTime Announces Launch of Elite with T-Mobile’s Embedded SIM
Littleton, CO – September 25, 2010 – PassTime announced today their flagship platform, the PassTime Elite Product Line will soon be manufactured with the new embedded SIM (subscriber identity module) chip from T-Mobile USA. T-Mobile and PassTime began their partnership four years ago with goal of building unique solutions for the automotive aftermarket.
PassTime will be the first in the Buy Here Pay Here vehicle telematics industry to utilize an embedded SIM in a M2M (machine-to-machine) solution application.
The PassTime Elite is an easy-to-install, compact device for GPS tracking and data communications between a vehicle and a lender and/or car dealer that decreases the risk of loan default and loss of property by providing timed payment alerts and starter interrupt services. The device integrates with our radio module partner, Cinterion Wireless Modules, and utilizes T-Mobile USA’s nationwide GSM network.
T-Mobile’s embedded SIM solution offers a smaller size and the ability to withstand harsh environmental conditions. The chip’s embedded nature provides fast time to market as customers don’t need to provision and manually insert SIM cards. Roughly one-third the size of a dime and more tolerant to extreme environmental conditions like temperature, humidity and vibration, T-Mobile’s silicon-based embedded SIM chip will be used in all of the PassTime Elite Product Line beginning in the near future.

PassTime will begin manufacturing their Elite Product Line with the new embedded SIM in the fourth quarter of this year. The newly enhanced version should be available to customers in early 2011.
